Born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia, John McLaren brings a lifelong connection to the community and over two decades of real estate experience in Hampton Roads, VA.
 
graduate of James Madison University, where he attended on a full swimming scholarship, John learned early the value of discipline, focus, and persistence—qualities that have defined his success throughout his real estate career.
 
Licensed since 2004, he has built an impressive track record in both residential and commercial sectors, having personally closed over $150 million in residential real estate sales. As Principal Broker of Chantel Ray Real Estate for eight years, John helped shape the company’s growth, brand, and agent development strategies.
 
Over the past five years leading the Commercial Division, he has expanded the firm’s reach into commercial sales, leasing, tenant representation, and non-real estate business sales, providing clients with strategic insight and exceptional service in every transaction.
